C.J. Erickson Plumbing Community Service Corps is Back In Action!
In 2006, as part of C.J. Erickson’s Centennial Celebration, the Community Service Corps was created. The purpose of the Community Service Corps was to establish and coordinate volunteer opportunities for C.J. Erickson Plumbing Co. employees. During that year our employees volunteered at local soup kitchens and even sponsored a house for the “Rebuild Together” project.
After a brief hiatus, we are proud to announce that the CJE Community Service Corps Volunteers have once again put on their work shirts and are back in action! Our re-energized committee has set the following goals for 2010:
- Volunteer a minimum of 32 hours per month at various local organizations.
- Participate in 2 marquee events during the year.
As we begin the 2nd quarter of 2010, the CJE Community Service Corps Volunteers have already donated 114 hours of service!
We are proud to volunteer and offer our ongoing support to the following local organizations:
- Together We Cope – 17010 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park, IL (store location)
- Ronald McDonald House Charities – Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana – 4410 W. 93rd St., Oak Lawn, IL
- Habitat For Humanity – Chicago South Suburbs – 180 W. Joe Orr Rd., Chicago Heights, IL (store location)
- Sertoma Centre, Inc. – 4343 W. Lincoln Highway, Matteson, IL (store location)
- Greater Chicago Food Depository – 4100 W. Ann Lurie Place, Chicago, IL
We invite you to join us on our journey… “Follow C.J.” as he keeps us on track to reach our goals and posts updates and photos of CJE Volunteers hard at work in our communities on our Facebook page.
